Deafheaven Debut Dark New Track ’Heathen’

Deafheaven Debut Dark New Track, "Heathen"

- By Ramon Gonzales -->

The album 'Lonely People With Power' arrives next month via Roadrunner Records.

Last month, Bay area firebrand Deafheaven announced their highly-anticipated full length follow up to their acclaimed 2021 release, Infinite Granite. Revealing the caustic first single, "Magnolia" the band confirmed the March 28th arrival of Lonely People With Power.

Shortly thereafter, the band confirmed a lengthy North American tour with Gatecreeper and Texas heavy shoegaze unit Trauma Ray, launching in support of the new album. For Deafheaven, the headlining dates will also include festival stops at Sonic Temple in Columbus, OH and a stop in Daytona Beach, FL for Welcome to Rockville.

Building the excitement towards the album's arrival, Deafheaven have delivered yet another haunting preview from the powerful collection of tracks on Lonely People With Power with the single, "Heathen". Combining rich musical melody with violent vocal spew of George Clarke, the track underscores Deafheaven's compelling take on heavy.

Recorded with producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen [St. Vincent, M83] and mixed by Zach Weeks of GodCity Studio, Lonely People With Power follows Deafheaven's MO of expanding the boundaries of heavy music - as first evidenced on Infinite Granite. For the band's next installment, additional contributions from Jae Matthews of Boy Harsher and Paul Banks of Interpol position the band's next effort as arguably their most ambitious.

The Lonely People With Power North American tour is set to begin April 19th in Los Angeles and includes a handful of important festival appearances - both domestic and international. See the complete list of dates and cities below. Get tickets - HERE
