Set to release their highly-anticipated LP, The Screaming Of The Valkyries, later this month, extreme metal icons Cradle of Filth have shared a third preview of the forthcoming effort with cinematic noir of "White Hellebore".

Combining grandiose goth with the pummel of blackened thrash, the track showcases the broad range of the collective while remaining stylistically congruent. Coupled with an unsettling visual directed by Shaun Hodson, Cradle of Filth is out to reclaim their rank as vanguards of contemporary extreme music.

Speaking of the single and the accompanying music video, band architect and mastermind Dani Filth explained, "The wintertime flower of the title reminds us scintillatingly of our own mortality, flourishing in seasons of dying light and cold, frozen earth.

Blossoming in the shadows, this Hellebore’s flowers draw us deeply into the stygian darkness with her. In context of this song, the White Hellebore of the title is an alluring woman not too distant in danger from the predatory black widow, fostering both hope and despair.

A poison and an elixir, she is stunning to behold but ever deadly to taste.

Filth elaborated on the scope of the visual, "This video — reeking of Lovecraftian gothic horror — presents the White Hellebore as a movie starlet who survives the grave through her dalliances with dark occult forces, a necromantic mystic tryst that an overzealous morgue attendant encounters with terrifying results, complimenting the song's unholy matrimony of melody and mayhem."

The Screaming of the Valkyries was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England. The album further builds on the band's vast catalog that meld grandiose theatrics, stylized macabre and metallic brutality that has gone onto inspire legions of artists and a devoted global base of fanatics.

In support of the band's latest studio effort, Cradle of Filth will co-headline the 2025 edition of the North American Chaos & Carnage tour opposite Dying Fetus, along with Fleshgod Apocalypse, Ne Obliviscaris, Undeath, Vomit Forth, and Corpse Pile.
