Connecticut aggressors Balmora are set to kick of the DAZE Tour today, April 1st along with Torture, Sanction, Final Resting Place and Azshara. Coupled with the start of the run, Balmora has delivered a surprise EP with the release of Prologue.
The three-track presentation adds to the acclaim the band first earned with their 2023 arrival, With Thorns of Glass and Petals of Grief. Balmora would again assert their force with a split opposite Since My Beloved last year with, Six Pacts Etched In Blood. Enduring some line-up transitions in the subsequent months, it would seem as though the band have solidified their personnel and are now pressing ahead with clear intentions and a dominant sound.
A volatile combination of tortured vocals, explosive percussion and frenetic guitars, Balmora combine hardcore DNA with metallic fury to craft a sound that is all aggression from start to finish. Speaking of the new three-track offering, the band share a quick reference for those whose interest is piqued. “There is something for everyone in the new Balmora material but at the end of the day, if you ever wanted to hear what The Black Dahlia Murder sounded like if they had Irate mosh parts, this will be for you.”
The Prologue EP was produced by the band's drummer Chaz and offers a powerful preview of what's yet to come from Balmora as they begin their campaign via DAZE. The Prologue EP is now available from DAZE and Ephyra Records. Get the release - HERE
